Thought I'd start a playoff thread as there are some great entertaining games going on right now.

Gotta be happy for Paul Pierce whos season looks like it will last longer than Lebrons right now.

Great match up seeing Howard and Jordan battle all over each other, each blocking each others shots and Howard with a couple monster dunks and Jordan putting up some shots in over Howard right at the basket.....and seeing Howard go over to talk to Hakeem Olujawon and Tracy McGrady in the stands, they said Howard and Hakeem workout everyday. They just said Howard and DeAndre Jordan met at a big man camp when Jordan was a teen and that they always kept in touch and now work out in the off season together.

Clippers are going to have a tough time with Paul not playing. He is out tonight though Doc said if it was an elimination game he would play. They need him close to full strength to have a chance.

Of course after three the Clippers are up by 6.  So much for my prognosis.....

And then the Clippers win going away......, Blake Griffin with another triple double and Matt Barnes with a solid overall game.

Hi,
I watched just the Cle-Chi game. Cle sorely missed JR Knucklehead's defense. One more game that proved that LJ was given the wrong nickname - it should've been Bulldozer. On the other side, despite all the wows, DR is way below his 100%.
As for the other game, I was really surprised that Clips won without CP3 (hope it's not serious injury).

Pierce has been on a roll from 3 during these playoffs.

On another thread we've been discussing defense and the evolution of the game. I hope it never gets so 3 point happy that every team is just living and dying by the 3. I'm rooting for the big men, I don't want to see pivot play become obselete. Go Grizzlies!!!!

Wall will be back, tonite were gonna see how far Lebron can still carry a team....Love the drama of the playoffs, this is the time the real ballas gotta step up and pretenders will be exposed.

So glad big man ball, Memphis won vs the 3 point crazed fad, now were gonna see if you can win playoff basketball without inside scoring and relying on jumpers....and the unsung hero on Grizz last night was Tony Allen, he made some steals and stops that were crucial to his teams victory. Go Grizz!!! Expose those pretenders!!

They said it couldn't be done, but we're in agreement about the proliferation to the three ball.  Different reasons....same preference.  You enjoy watching pivot play, and I enjoy watching the ball handling of smaller guys.  If what I read and am seeing on the court is has validity, and the game is becoming largely a succession of threes and above-the-rim stuff, at least big men will continue to be major factors in the above-the-rim game and smaller guys will continue to be part of the three-point game.  However, what is becoming threatened is the beauty of the innovative playmaking repertoires of both the accomplished pivot guys and the small men.

Sam I hate the fact that they eliminated the center position for voting for the all star game. How focked up is that? Wilt is rolling in his grave, I like guard play, I love watching AB defend and when Rondo was on  top of his game, my son and I screamed with glee....but without bigs securing the ball, the little guys won't even get the ball. THOSE little midgets should remember that, Bogut doesn't put up big stats, but without his dirty work this year, no way does GS get close to 60 wins.

Blake Griffin is a one man wrecking crew, hes got 26 points at halftime on 11-14 FG, Clippers are up 65-56, hes a point forward and everything. Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers are a combined 1-12 FG and they still put up 65 points at the half.
