As expected, the Boston Celtics are gauging what they might be able to accomplish on draft night.
In a series of tweets Monday night, Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix suggested the Celtics have been "aggressive" in discussions about moving up:

Teams that could realistically trade out of the top-ten on Thursday: New York, Sacramento, Charlotte. Lot of chatter amongst execs right now

Hard to say if its an indictment on the depth of the draft or circumstances, but can't recall this many teams looking to get out of top-ten.

If New York, Sacramento and Charlotte are open to trading down, the fourth, sixth and ninth picks could be available. Depending on whether the price is right, the Celtics could have options to grab a top talent.

Okay, a hundred articles later, I think I get it. Danny's making a big effort.

As well he should. Stevens does not construct the roster. To get to 50 wins for next season I think that the Cs need three (at least two if one is a center) new rotation players.
This is Ainge's responsibility. Stevens has shown that he can make every player better.
