Scalabrine: Teams don't want to be 'bamboozled' by Ainge

Last year the Celtics were supposed to have fireworks. This year people expected the Celtics to make the Sixers an offer that they couldn't refuse for Jahlil Okafor.
Danny Ainge wasn't able to strike a deal on this night, so they ended up using picks No. 16 and 28.
Why was no one willing to deal with Ainge?
Brian Scalabrine says NBA GMs fear being ‘bamboozled’ by the Celtics.
"People don't want to make trades with Danny Ainge," said Scalabrine. "Minnesota, lopsided trade. Brooklyn, lopsided trade. There are people who got fired in Minnesota for that. Right now you can say Brooklyn's on the hook for that trade. People don't want to get bamboozled once again by Danny Ainge, because they feel like if I just make a pick the owner wants, I won't get fired."
