Re: So What's the Plan?
OMG, Worcester, I'm sitting here weeping! What a wonderful piece of life. I think we've agreed over the years that, beautiful scenery, monuments, cathedrals and food notwithstanding, one's life is mostly about the people who have inhabited it. What a wonderful, bitterweet memory at the head of the many you possess! Here's to Michelle, Veronique, and the American who became such a force in their lives. I can't wait for the next chapter in that story. Thanks for sharing.
And, by the way, any personal story that begins on a train gets extra credit in my book. The difference between us is that my imagination starts to run wild whenever I board a train, while you actually have "truth is stranger than fiction" experiences.

I felt like crying reading that story too, how bittersweet, how incredible and romantic....

Thanks Cow, Sam, and Bob. You know, I'd forgotten all about pitching bales of hay onto Michele's father's wagon until I posted that email to you. Funny how memories emerge from their cocoons to become butterflies of joy.
I do love trains. So many good times have happened on them, but one was not June 8th, 2015 when I took the 120 mile trek for Boston to Portland. It lasted 4 hours, an embarrassment. American trains surely need an upgrade. Next ride will be from Vancouver to Seattle September 4, 2015 via Amtrak.

Gerald Green "on the Celtics radar." That came out of left field. I seem to remember him driving us (and especially sam) nuts a long, long time ago. Wouldn't that be amusing. Him returning to Boston.

Steve,
You're right, I was not a fan. But he seemed like a nice guy, if a little slow, and I'm sincerely glad he has persevered and made somewhat of an impact. I guess old habits die hard though, and I would rather see the Celtics go in a different direction. For one thing, I haven't read or heard anything about an improvement in Gerald's defensive play.
