Nets to trade Thaddeus Young to Pacers for 20th pick

Heard on WFAN the Nets are trading Thaddeus Young to Indy for the 20th pick.

This is for the future. No way they could get a player at 20 that would contribute more than Thaddeus would next year.

They just got worse for next year.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Brooklyn has traded forward Thad Young to the Indiana Pacers for the 20th pick and a future 2nd rounder, league sources tell @The Vertical.

It is true that #20 probably won't be nearly as good as Young, but Brooklyn just opened up another $12m in cap space.
Maybe they feel they can be active in free agency.

Yup. Free agents will be flocking to that spectacular franchise with their bright immediate future.

I'd have given our #23 and two 2nds for T Young.  I like him a lot.

They damn well better sign some serious free agents, they're pulling a Hinkie.

And I couldn't be happier about it.

Good in the longterm (3-5 years) for them, great in the short-term (1-3 years) for us.

So, who's projected to be the #1 draft pick next year?  Picture him in green.  LOL.

Nets traded Young for a first rounder a year ago, then traded KG for Young, then traded Young again for another first.

It's too early to tell who might be interested in signing there.
