The Celtics are still mathematically in the hunt for 3rd place. I know it is a stretch but after watching Philly blow another game last night and seeing how they have played lately gives me a glimmer of hope. If Philly loses 2 out of their remaining 3 games and Boston wins their last 3 games they will have identical 50-32 records. Boston holds the tie-breaker with a 3-1 head to head matchup this season.
It could happens. Philly plays at Chicago and Miami and then home at Chicago.
Boston has a game tonight at Indiana and I think it will be a terrific game and then home with the Magic and a road game at Washington. Boston can take a full game lead over the Pacers with a win.
Last week Boston beat the Pacers in what turned out to be a very tough contest 114-112.
The injury update for Boston reveals Morris out, Horford probable and Brown doubtful. This may change before game time.
We are going to need great games from everybody. They really buckled down against Miami and will need to do the same tonight. The Celtics are a more talented team that the Pacers but talent alone cannot win. They have to want this game and do all of the little things to make it happen.
The Pacers have us tonight and then Brooklyn at home before hitting the road to play Atlanta who has been playing well in winning 5 out of their last 7.
I guess with all of the ups and downs all year these final 3 games and the 3,4 and 5 seeds still up for grabs for all 3 teams was meant to be.
Let's go Celtics.

Yeah, these last three games all around make my head spin. I wish BOS had taken care of business for just a couple of games this year and we wouldn't be in this predicament of having to win and hoping others lose. We brought this on ourselves, though.
In the end, of us three huddled in the middle, we look the best and sharpest at this point. Go Celtics!!

Yes there were too many games that Boston lost this year that they should have won.
Right now they seem to be playing much better with more focus and attention to detail. One thing we did not know would happen for certain was the reemergence of Gordon Hayward. I think he is the X-factor for us. He seems to be hitting his stride at the right time. The Celtics need him to be good.

Agree 1000%. I'll even throw Baynes in there for free. Those two are on for 4 games a series, Banner 18 will be hanging. We need JB back though!

This would be a great statement game for Boston. But since we've been on the roller coaster all year, getting off of it has not been an option!

Not surprised Indy would be favored.
Baynes has been playing really well since he returned

I think it is time for Terry Rozier to have a strong game.

Yeah, he's been waffling for sure. As we've said before, with all that talent, we don't need everybody every night. Just some every night.

In many respects this one looks like a signature game.
If Boston can beat them on the road it sends a clear message that we are not to be trifled with.
It means we remain a legit contender.
That is all we can expect. A chance, just one chance to turn this season into a phenomenal run. A deep run. The type of run that scares the pants off of the competition.

This game is right on the edge of where we have typically gone flat. Let's hope they come out blazing and stay blazing for the whole game.
