So Toronto loses Kawhi, Milwaukee loses Brogdon (don't underestimate that), Philly lost Butler and Reddick while overpaying for Horford and adding Josh Richardson. Our competition in the East is in flux. We need to still tweak our front line (who the Hell is our starting power forward?) and we'll be back in the hunt for the Eastern Conference Finals.

And ten minutes after Kawhi signed with them, the Clippers traded for Paul George. Doc is a happy guy tonight.

Glad he didn’t go the easy route, going to Lakers would have been really flip* up, glad he’s not a pussy and wants to go at those guys. Also heard the Clipps might be getting Paul George.

Wow, things are going to be interesting in LA next year. Didn't see that coming. Much better than Kawhi signing with the Lakers, or the Lakers somehow trading for George. That is an insane number of picks/swaps OKC got. I am sure the Clippers figure most will be end of round picks. If it doesn't work out, the Clippers are screwed for years. I wonder if Westbrook will be available and OKC goes into a deep rebuild or if they try and flip those assets to bring in the next disgruntled superstar to play alongside him.

Leonard and George puts them on par with the LeBron and Davis Lakers (even though the Clippers will always be the "second" team in LA.

trading a bunch of late round first for a player like George is nothing.

SGA was the biggest lost in that trade for the Clippers, but they were over loaded at guard anyway. Beverly, Lou Williams, McGruder (FA) and seconed year guys Shamet and Robinson. Guardwas a spot they could afford to lose a guy.

they seem weakest right now at the bigs spots (sounds familiar) with Harrell, Zubic (needs to be signed) and the rookie many wanted here Kabengele .

still good moves for them to stay relevant.

yes, but next season they only have $10M in salary on the books, so they will have plenty of money to throw around.

the NBA is all about building a team for a one year run now (maybe two).

the next year is only one season away now.

I’d say it puts them more than on par with the lakers (Note the no cap) IMO they are far and above them.

Add an elite all nba player or two to a roster - and it can be a rags to riches scenario overnight. The money game is huge now. Working the CAP is so vital in todays game.

Does anyone know the 4 picks what year, which slot, I understand Clipps inherited a few 1st round picks that they also used....If a couple are low and unprotected, a good deal for Thunder too.

With Kawhi and George under contract for 2 seasons and player option for the 3rd, this could become brutal for the Clippers if half the compensation occurs after the 2 leave them.
