I just renewed my subscription for NBA Team Pass (Celtics)  They will broadcast all 4 games..

I am streaming everything these days and was pleased with the NBA app last season.  There were initially some connectivity issues but they fixed that and it was smooth sailing.  One thing I like is that they record every game and you can watch the full replay or a shortened version.

MY NOTE:  He stayed in college for an extra season because he didn't think he was emotionally mature enough for the NBA.  He sure sounds like he has made the turn, doesn't it?  These kids from poor families who suddenly come into great wealth and awaken to the realization that they can't live on fast food and excel at their job are getting some real eye-openers.  Marcus Smart last year with his nutritionist turning him onto dates and now Robert Williams with squash.  Think of that, though.  Williams is going to be 22 years old this month and is just becoming familiar with squash.  Smart was probably 23 or 24 years old and had never even heard of a date, he thought dates were only when you went out with a woman.

Today was an "open practice", in TD Garden before season ticket holders.  The pics I saw looked like the entire lower part of the arena was filled.  Couldn't tell about the upper part. There is at least one link that shows some plays being run. One of them is the one I note Celtics assistant coach Kara Lawson is doing the ball handling.

Too bad about Rob Williams. I was looking forward to a better performance from him in the second preseason game.

Means we should get an extended look at Poirier next game for sure. I hope he is adjusting well, he seems solid if he can keep up for extended minutes in an NBA game.

I also really like the comment from Stevens that the most consistent center will get most minutes. Really do not think center by committee will work long term (looking at the season only).

It is really good to have a new active member.  

With respect to our center (s)

Stevens said that he plans to play all 4 centers (not including Fall)   We really do not have a 30 MPG starting center.  Kanter is a career 22 MPG player.  One of the 4 guys will play more minutes than the others but we will see Theis and Poirier and Williams play at the 5.  That is the reason why I referred to the center rotation as center by committee.

In the long run I do not think that will work because the team may lose  continuity at both ends.  Choppy minutes leads to choppy play.

I asked Marcus Smart what excites him most about this team. “I’m excited about our young guys,” he said. Grant Williams reminds Smart of himself. Smart told me the Celtics players call Carsen Edwards “Eddie House.”
