NBA All-Star Game Voting Empty NBA All-Star Game Voting

Post by bobheckler Thu Dec 26, 2019 5:59 pm

Here's your chance to send your favorite Celtics (ahem, I meant "worthy players") to the All-Star Game.

Vote early and often.  In fact, I think you can re-vote every 24 hours. In real life it's called "ballot stuffing". Here's it's called "being the #1 fan".

NBA All-Star Game Voting Empty Re: NBA All-Star Game Voting

Was going to start a separate post about whether Jaylen should be an allstar, but this post seems to be the place for these thoughts. Right now, Kemba seems like a no brainers, and Jayson seems to have a great chance. For some reason, people seem to consider Jaylen more of a long shot. I love Tatum, but I wonder if Jaylen might be more deserving. He has been sensational. He is super efficient, shooting 51%, getting 20 a game on a relatively low number of shots. Low turn overs. Good rebounding numbers, solid D. And, he is hitting his fritos. Hopefully all 3 make it. Gordon playing great too, and of not for all the missed time, he should also be in the allstar conversation.

Another thought. Marcus has been awesome too, but his chances might be hurt by the play of Kemba, Gordon, and the 2 Js. People might be hesitant to vote 4 celtics in.

Boss, do you think there is an argument that Jaylen should have gone number one in 2016? Simmons and Ingram went one and two. Maybe Simmons still has the edge, but if Jaylen keeps developing at this rate, I think it's a legit question.

Can Simmons make a jumper? Hell no he freakin sucks. An argument can be made right now that both Jaylen and Jayson were in fact the best players in their draft claases.

Their talent is on another level.

I think Ingram has developed into a very solid offensive player but he is no lock down defender.

Can you imagine if Simmons was on the Celtics? He is scared to shoot and I think he has a head trip. His athleticism is what gets him by.

Think about that...People ay Danny can't draft, pointing to Danny drafting Kelly over Giannis in 2013, which is captain hindsight to the 10th power, but nailing the 2016, 2017 drafts is pretty impressive.

First return of all-star balloting has Trae Young on top of guard voting in. East and Kemba is barley behind Kyrie.

MY NOTE:  In order for us to have a shot at having 3 all-stars Kemba has to be named a starter.  If we do not have at least one Celtic as a starter it will be very difficult for the all-star coaching staff to choose 3 Celtics for the bench.  One starter and 2 bench players is possible.

So, go out there and vote Kemba into a starting slot.  Every 24 hours, like Swiss clockwork.

Can you believe Tacko is 6th, ahead of Bam Adubayo?! Just goes to show just how ridiculous this all-star voting is...

The usual questionable voting in a few spots so far.

Tacko? Even Hayward; how many games has he played this year? Love seeing more Celts on the list, but come on.

Maybe need a way to register and get only one vote, among other things.

Cow,

You can. Create 5 different email accounts and register all of them with NBA.com for the voting. You can vote once every 24 hours PER ID.

I have 2 different email accounts. I'm voting both of them.

The 6-12 allstar players are chosen by the coaching staff but fan voting has the most impact.  Please vote over and over again for your favorite players.

We have 3 legit allstars and a 4th in GH who got injured.  His numbers are still up there.  As much as I love Jaylen and Jayson and Kemba.  I think GH is the best all around player on the Celtics.

Go vote and do it again tomorrow and the day after that.  Encourage your friends and family to vote for Celtics players.

Unfortunately NBA fans only see scoring averages.  If you rebound and defend so what.  No one cares.  If you have a ton of assists, you're great.  No one looks at your turnovers.

The idea of Tacko Fall and Kyrie Irving even having one vote each really shows the waste of time that is the current all star voting process.
