Tony Allen will re-sign with Boston


Greg Dickerson says Tony Allen will be back in Boston.

According to CSNNE's Greg Dickerson, free agent Tony Allen will re-sign with Boston.

Dickerson broke the news while co-hosting Sports Tonight on Thursday.

"I'm told that Tony Allen's not going anywhere," Dickerson said. "He's staying here."

Details of the deal were not discussed.

Allen developed into a significant reserve for the Celtics, performing particularly well during the 2010 postseason. As a defensive specialist, Allen often came off the bench to guard superstars LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.

Great I hope hes shooting 1000-1500 jumpers a day and we have got to give him more minutes,I like he and Harangady coming off bench.Have to keep our long range sniper fresh.
