A late-night stat for the Celtics-sky-is-falling crowd.

Boston's lost 5 playoff games, by a total of 19 points. Two in OT and one on an epic buzzer-beater.

Their last double-digit loss? February 11. 32 games ago.

The average NBA team has 8 such losses in that span.

Boston? 0.

bobh this makes me feel worse not better. All of those close losses reflect a disturbing trend. And unfortunately it starts from the neck up. I am suggesting that this team lacks mental toughness?

Yes I am but it is not that they do not have mental toughness it is just that when it is not turned on it
they struggled to find the switch.

If they drop this game (I do think they will win) the season is over and with it our best chance in over a decade to get to the finals. There is no superstar standing in our way, just a collection of gritty basketball players being led by a lunch pail guy.

I can always count on Sean Grande, he is a homer in alot of ways, but a realist in others. Listening to him game to game as I have since TNT/ESPN have taken over the games, I am more aware of things going on. Those announcers are too busy looking at the LA Lakers Those split screens while play is going on showing some team stretching out for their game or some other silly stuff drives me insand.
So.... what Sean was trying to get across is, try to not look on the negative only. The sky will probably be falling if they get beat tonight, but......it has not happened yet. I was so down the other night, now???

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE GAME TO START!!!! GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!
