Wednesday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies was one that Jaylen Brown will never forget.

The Boston Celtics guard poured in a career-high 42 points on 15-of-21 shooting and a sparkling 7-of-10 mark from 3-point range. He also tallied five rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Every bucket from JB's career-high 42-point night.

One of the most impressive aspects of the performance was it happened in just 29 minutes of playing time. The Celtics had such a huge lead entering the fourth quarter that none of the team's starters, including Brown, played over the final 12 minutes of the game in a 126-107 victory.

If the score was tighter and Brown had played in the fourth quarter, he probably would have scored 50-plus points. Settling for 42 is still pretty good, though.

Brown, as you might imagine, made some history Wednesday night. Here are some impressive stats and milestones from his career-best game.

Jaylen Brown's 42 points are the most through 3 quarters by a Celtics player since play-by-play tracking began in 1996-97.

The previous high belonged to his teammate Jayson Tatum, who had 41 through 3 quarters last January vs the Pelicans.

Jaylen Brown is the first @celtics player to score 40+ points while playing less than 30 minutes in a game since Larry Bird did it on March 18, 1986, against Cleveland.

Jaylen Brown tonight became the first Celtics player in franchise history to produce 42+ points, and 7+ 3-pointers while shooting at least 70.0% from the field

Brown is averaging 28 points per game on 56.2 percent shooting and 44 percent from 3-point range this season. He's taking his game to an All-Star level, and the Celtics absolutely need it with Kemba Walker injured and out of the lineup.
