Pre-Game Rockets

Really only one thing to say.  We have yet another chance to possibly accept another gift to move back up to within one game of the Bucks.  If we handle business tonight like we should in HOU and the Bucks come up just a little bit short against a very interesting SAC team out West tonight, we're 1 game back after our "disastrous" 3-game skid.  

If we both lose, nothing ventured, nothing gained.  If we lose and Bucks win, then that will just about wrap 2nd or 3rd for us and the conversation for 1st is officially over.  But this is just another opportunity.  We gave one gift back recently and took it vs. ATL over the weekend to get two games back from 3 games back.  

We really need to shed the playing down to our competition image tonight.

Bucks game may be worth staying up late to see.

P.S.  Living just outside of Houston, my son is going to the Houston game tonight as a Celtic fan.  I told him that there will probably be more Celtic fans than Houston.  So he won't be alone!!

Also, I noticed after tonight vs. SAC, MIL plays PHX tomorrow. It's always hopefully that MIL could realistically blow these two games and coupled with a win tonight we'd be tied in the loss column for first.
But we have to win tonight for any of it to be worthwhile, otherwise this is bs.

There is something about Perk's Texas drawl that goes good with a basketball broadcast though.

I had a good friend from Alabama say that southern folk talk like they have a mouth full of marbles. That's Perk. I didn't understand much of what he said, what I was able to comprehend seemed to be ax grinding, one-upmanship or other similar nonsense. I ended up turning the volume down.

Next time, I'll just go with the other team's broadcast.

It works and it’s quite humorous

I’d like to hear Perk with a real pbp host. I’m confident he would kill it. I understand everything he says and his sense of humor and knowledge of the game is superb. He’s a bit overboard with some of his predictions but last night when he said that Smith was going to miss one of those free throws-  “Clank”
