A chance to see Andre Drummond. How many times will he dunk on Sean Williams? The over/under is 3.
Who will guard 6'11" Austin Daye? Long and a very good outside shooter.
Inquiring minds want to know...

Daye already has two blocks after just a few minutes. Melo will have to leaarn that you have to stay with the action. If you get one stop, either you have to get the ball or keep defending. Then he tries an improbable lefty hook that's blocked by Drummond. Fab has agility, but the court sense is suspect.
Smith with a great block and then a three.

Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
That was a really low percentage shot by Melo—a contested lefty hook at least eight feet from the basket.

Great rebound and fullcourt run by Joseph. Missed the bunny, but I liked the ball handling and aggression. Nice follow by xmas.
Sully with a nice top of the key jumper.

Nice spin move by Joseph.
Brandon Knight is giving Moore fits on defense.

Joseph looking silky and athletic.
Xmas makes offense look coherent.
Bad decision making by Moore so far.

Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
The Celtics' offense has been largely out of synch so far. Very little happening going to the basket. A TON of shots well-contested. Continually defaulting to the outside shots. I'm not impressed with Moore as a creator of good shots for others. Johnson has a nice stroke from outside, but not much of anything down low; and, for a former defensive player of the year in his college conference, he looks continually surprised by Detroit's pick-and-roll game.
Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
Giving up 53 points in 20 minutes. Not good D. Detroit shot 59%.
Very good half by Brandon Knight. Not a good half by his man, Moore. Poor decision making this game, so far, by Moore.
JJJ shooting well, rebounding well. Best game, so far, by JJJ this week.
Joseph delivering what is, so far, his usual consistent performance. That has to make Doc and Lue happy. Coaches love consistent performance.
Drummond and Yates are bludgeoning Melo and everybody else they pound on.

Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
Nice steal by Moore, but he is doing a horrible job as a floor general.
Must be an intentional call by Lue, having Moore run the offense instead of Xmas. Otherwise, why would you make your shooter the PG and make a natural PG your shooter?

Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
Sully vs. Drummond gives an idea of what it will be like if Sully puts in much time at center. At a disadvantage on both offense and defense.
The good news is that Sully and Joseph (and maybe even Moore) will benefit hugely by playing with Rondo.

Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
It's very telling that Sully. rather than Johnson, is defending Drummond. Perhaps it's a matchup experiment by Lue (it's not working, Ty).

Re: Orlando Summer League - Game 4 vs Detroit Pistons
Yep, they want Xmas to shoot and Moore to play point. It's obvious.
Nice board crashing by JJJ and a nice pass to Sully for 2 on the previous series. Nice game by JJJ.
