MVP (MOST VALUABLE POSTER) AWARD FOR 2013

Just like the NBA, we have our Hall of Fame that recognizes the value of members over time. But, each season, an individual poster demonstrates unique qualities that warrant special recognition as the forum's Most Valuable Poster. It's the only area in which I have usurped the honor of making the selection myself.

This year's Most Valuable Poster of Sam's Celtics Forum has been with us (and the Celtics) seemingly forever. This MVP represents an extraordinary blend of loyalty, fiestiness, basketball knowledge, personality, courage, compassion, candor, dependability, passion, and consistently even-tempered demeanor. Our MVP has overcome considerable personal challenges while never wavering from a heartfelt devotion to the Celtics not only as a team but also as a way of life.

This is one of the many board members whom I value as true friends without our having met personally. I am proud to announce that the 2013 Sam's Celtics Forum Most Valuable Poster is:

Congratulations, Rosalie. Congratulations, also, to Bill, who so often has to endure your disappearing act while you root root root (often fairly loudly) for the home team. I look forward to buying you a drink when they win #18. And two drinks when they win #19. And three drinks when they win #20. And a bona fide binge when they reach #30.

Congratulations Rosalie!

I have just turned on my computer for the first time since the game on Sunday.
I was unaware of this most wonderful recognition by everyone here. I am so proud to be a part of this great group of Celtic lovers! I am truly honored by your thoughtfulness. Being able to turn on my computer on game day and find so many other wonderful Celtic fans is a joy. You are all terrific, and helped me through some tough times this last year and a half.

I want you all to know that I brag to everyone about this "club" we all have here. I look forward to the day of finally putting faces to the names I have talked to for so long.

I am getting stronger every day, it really has been a long haul. I went from being told I would be at the hospital for 5-7 days to staying 21 days. But, with the strength of my family, my husband, my son and my daughter, and all the great friends I have here and else where I am home, recuperating and hopefully will be at full strength some time in the summer'

Thank you all for this thoughtful recognition. I always have been and always will be a devoted, die hard Celtic fan, win or lose.
