The only way, the ONLY way, this happens is if Danny already knows he's out of the Love Sweepstakes and and has decided to just blow everything up. He may know already about Love, but that's still a pretty big jump to "blowing it all up".

Whatever happened to "Rondo won't re-sign with Sacto"?

Still, at this point I don't think anything would shock me now. Now that Asik's off the table, if Love is off too who knows what Danny's level of medication is (or should be)?

I'm usually a huge optimist where the Celtics are concerned.  But I'm having difficulty convincing myself that Danny will be operating from the position of strength suggested by all his assets.  I just hope he doesn't sit on his assets before and throughout the draft.  I'm sure he has a bunch of contingency plans; but it would be nice to think he could act on one of the most promising plans than on a plan by default.
