The Russell-Chamberlain matchup was particularly interesting because of the divere styles and approaches to the game.  But i always enjoyed the Sam Jones-Greer contests because they were more similar in repertoires.  So many times (as in this game) it was a standoff.

Larry Costello, who scored 11 for Philly in this one, was the only basketball player of the time who could match Sam Jones' speed.  Oh, I forgot.  No one in that era had any speed.  What I meant was that Larry was the only player who could match Sam's lack of slowness.
