Wolves Willing To Trade Ricky Rubio In Right Deal

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Ricky Rubio agreed upon a $55 million contract extension last October, but the team is believed to be willing to consider dealing him in the right deal.

Rubio was limited last season by an ankle injury.

Rubio is still just 24 and is one of the game's most gifted passers, but he has yet to develop his perimeter shot.

The Wolves are also high on D'Angelo Russell.

MY NOTE:  A gifted pass-first point guard without an outside shot.  Hmm, remind us of anybody?  For better or worse, the league is moving towards shoot-first point guards.  Still, between Rondo and Phil Pressey we know Danny has a soft spot for them...

I would only like to see the Cs involved in any type of deal that had Rubio in it if he was part of getting a center for the Celtics.

Yes, he has some talent, but I just do not really like him for our team.

I'd be concerned about his ongoing health.
