Shaq likely out until second round of playoffs
Sources: Shaq to be sidelined until playoffs
Adrian Wojnarowski

Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O’Neal is expected to miss six to eight weeks after having surgery on his right thumb, a source close to him told Yahoo! Sports.
O’Neal will miss the rest of the regular season and likely the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
More From Adrian Wojnarowski
Cleveland’s regular season ends on April 14, and the best-case scenario could have O’Neal back for the start of the playoffs. Regardless, he is expected to return before the Cavs would have to potentially face their most difficult conference test: Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.
O’Neal, 37, will have surgery at the National Hand Center in Baltimore on Monday. In his absence, the Cavs will continue to start Anderson Varejao at center. Leon Powe will also share minutes.
Boston Celtics forward Glen Davis injured O’Neal’s thumb on a hard foul on Thursday. O’Neal traveled to Baltimore on Sunday to meet with specialists.
The Cavaliers traded backup center Zydrunas Ilgauskas to the Washington Wizards in the deal for Antawn Jamison. Ilgauskas was waived last week and can’t be re-signed by the Cavs until March 22.

Originally nicknamed Baby Shaq at LSU, his nickname morphed once he got to the NBA for a reason. You might remember seeing him cry on the sidelines after the Sheriff yelled at him. We can now add attempting to exacerbate Shaq’s injury to his jacket, which also features him getting suspended for fighting with a friend in the off-season and knocking over a little kid after hitting a game winning shot. Nice.

So Shaq is pretty well done as a factor for the Cavs this year. How do yall think this will effect the cavs?
Seems to me will hurt them against Orlando and Lakes.
Bummer for them.
