Dalembert waived also:

He used to be a rim protector and decent rebounder (and that's about it) but his abilities must have fallen so significantly that even though the Mavs had DeAndre Jordan jilt them at the altar and return to the Clips, Dallas says adios to him.
He's probably so unproductive at this stage that even a rim protecter-starved team like Boston would not scoop him up for free.

That would assume we had a roster spot for him... the real question is who on the current roster would you cut to take a flyer on a guy like that?

No one, unless James Young proves he's not the extreme disappointment he was last year. And if that happens we would probably need another player who could spend some minutes at small forward and sharing backup shooting guard duties. We have enough frontcourt bodies even though none of them are standout talents.

Re: Perry waived.
Dalembert was cut from the Knicks early last season and no one signed him for the rest of the year (including Ainge).
it looks like his time has come and gone as an NBA player now.
as for Jones, I wasn't high on him as a team (Okl) doesn't dump him for basically nothing if they think he can play. But for Ainge is a possible something for nothing deal, so nothing lost.

Source says Celts knew there wasn't a market for Perry Jones, but they liked him & probed other trades w/thought of keeping PJ. No deals tho
