I hate to read something like this in a preview ...
"Marcus Smart has gotten off to a slow start (5 of 19), as has backcourt mate Avery Bradley (6 of 17), Evan Turner (4 for 16) and newcomer David Lee (4 of 13) ..."

At least David Lee will go bonkers against the Spurs ...

Except that #21 is retired in Beantown. But yea, would've completely changed the landscape of the NBA. He would've played on a team with Ron Mercer and Antoine Walker on it his first year, which would've been weird. And they obviously wouldn't have had a high enough pick to draft Pierce the following year. The entire landscape of the Eastern Conference was massively affected by that pick for the past 18 years.

Celtics didn't have the luck of the Irish for that draft lottery.

Celtics have a really tough defensive perimeter(Smart/Bradley/Crowder) but are atrocious at defending the interior, tbh..hopefully a lot of paint attacks today..

If lma cant get 15+ David lee....this a perfect game for him to get going with that shit frontcourt

I think Boston is underrated, and we're playing on the road. Probably won't be as easy of a win as some here might expect, but hopefully I'm wrong. Parker guarding Isaiah Thomas might get ugly, so Green might have to spend some time on him down the stretch.

Would be cool for the big 3 to break Bird/McHale/Parish's record for most wins by a trio in Boston.

Boston will look to bounce back after their home debut loss tbh. It will be a tough game, but their Frontcourt is shitty...Need to take advantage of that.

This should be a win for us but these afternoon games are always interesting and Celtics are a tough well rounded team so we'll see how this goes.

3 keys are…1.Share the ball with each other. 2.Rebound. 3. Don’t share the ball with Boston

There can’t be any better place and opp for the Big Three to set the new record for most wins.

This is going to be toughie IMO..Boston under Brad Stevens play the right and smart way even while lacking in talent and experience..Hopefully our guys don't take them lightly..

Damn I really wish Avery Bradley was on our team tbh. Would trade Tony for him in a heartbeat.  (MY NOTE:  Parker is 33.  Bradley is 24.  I know Parker's good, but Bradley's value is rising, Parker's is declining.  Still, a nice recognition of Bradley's value from a Spurs fan)

Referees seem to be calling the game as well as the players are playing it. (MY NOTE:  Quite the "back-handed compliment")

The Celtics really don’t have any good defensive bigs besides Amir Johnson.

This is honestly mostly on Pop. He has done absolutely NOTHING to keep him from playing the Center position. In 3 games he has played him at pf for mere minutes. He's the only player playing out of position yet we are killing him for being terrible at it??
