My gut guess is #4

#1 - Pelicans (or another surprise team outside the top 3) - Simmons
#2 - Sixers - Ingram
#3 - Lakers - Hield (or traded)
#4 - Celtics - Murray or Brown or traded

My half glass full guess is #2. Better odds than #1 and I secretly want Ingram more than Simmons so that takes away the really tough choice Danny would have. We get whoever someone else doesn't want so no double guessing.

Lakers would have pick #3 in this scenario. Philly only gets LA's pick if it falls outside the top 3.

My 2nd option/gut feeling after the one I posted above, is:

Lakers
Celtics
Sixers

Ping pong balls have not been kind to us, we are due, so I'm predicting IT brings a mini Leprechaun talisman in his pocket and the Celtics land the first pick in the draft and pick Simmons.

A "mini leprechaun?" Is that redundant? Am I repeating myself? Am I saying the same thing over and over......

It is not like guessing which team will win a game or a playoff series or how many games the Celtics would win each year.  There is no predictors to help in the guessing.

Lakers fall to #4 and lose the pick, just because they're the Lakers and need to.

downside, is no big fireworks in FA or on the trade market with the top pick , as Danny goes the build thru the draft route then.

Ingram picked at #1

then he trades #16, 23, 31 and a future protected 1st for the 10th pick and selects a dropping Poeltl.

We all know how Sam felt about predictions. :-)
I think Sam would say: "See me at 8:30."
(That's when the lottery is over).

Tonight is nerve-wracking, especially for Philly and the Lakers because so much can change from 8:00 to 8:30 for their franchises.
Phoenix and New Orleans aren't close to competing even if they get a top 2 pick.
If Philly get the Lakers pick at #4 or #5 and can add 1) Simmons/Ingram, 2) Dunn/Hield/Murray, 3) Saric , 4) Embiid and 5) picks #24 and #26 this summer, WOW!

I am not going to make a prediction about tonight.
I think Lakers and Celtics fans can agree that we don't want Minnesota to get a top 2 pick...

Sam was not in a position before to bestow unworldly powers to help our cause!

I hate disappointment and will be increasingly happy with every notch above 6.  I like the idea of ratcheting up satisfaction and happiness.

That would mean three teams below them jump into the top 3 and Philly gets the Lakers pick.

We def don't want Boston falling all the way to 6th. But this situation for Philly and LA is better in my opinion than Philly getting a top 2 pick and the Lakers pick at #4 or LA getting the #1 pick and Philly pick #2.

I think Ingram fits better in Philly than Simmons (who is a bit like Saric) and is a humble east coast guy who would give us fits for years. Simmons will likely bolt Philly in 4-5 years in free agency or request a trade. He is a bit of an arrogant prima donna who has already said he wants to play in LA.
