Why Didn't We Hear Young's Workouts Get Talked Up More Before The Draft?

Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard a lot about Julius Randle’s workouts with various teams, but not really James Young’s. There’s a reason for that. According to Chad Ford, Young was in a minor car accident that caused him to miss his last five workouts. Don’t worry–Young’s okay–but it could explain the dip his stock took earlier in the week.

I'm glad Young wasn't seriously hurt in the accident.  Looking forward to seeing both Smart and Young to play in the summer league.  It the time of year when little glimmers can mean a lot when they're all pieced together.

I'm not sure how much higher he was projected to go, maybe 3 spots at most.

But I'm glad he wasn't seriously injured.

I never saw one mock draft out of at least a dozen I looked at that had us drafting Young at 17. Not one.
