Learning this new stuff this time of night is cool, though makes me want to add all sorts and stay up late. Thanks Jeb and Pumpsie!

To be continued tomorrow night, probably should start our own thread so we don't mess up Game On!

I would guess that at this point there are about 10 posts that are not appearing. Also, I cannot see anyone elses new post on this forum.
Pumpsie, I have a similiar problem on my work computer, but not my home computer. It was suggested to me that maybe my work does not use the most up to date version of Internet Explorer. It's as good of an explanation as I can come up with. I've found that if I log off after I submit a post, I can then log back in and view my post as well as any posts that come through after mine. It's a pain, but it's still better than BDC!

Thanks for the tip. Fortunately I don't have to use my work computer very often to get into this forum. And they definitely do not use IE8.

Post-game Thread: Celtics 96 @ 76ers 86, 3/5/10
I asked, during the game-on thread, whether this game was closed to the public. I'm not sure I've ever experienced such silence, no matter what went on. And, for the most part, both teams played down to the energy of the crowd. Ray started strong, with 11 points in the first quarter. But he scored only five thereafter, and Paul Pierce was pretty much an offensive non-factor, with 1-9 shooting on his way to only 7 points for the evening.
Perhaps the highlight of the first half involved the back-to-back threes tossed in by Nate and Sheed as the second quarter started. The Celts played inside-out ball for most of the half, and the Celts shot 50% from the arc (4-. Elton Brand carried the Sixers on his back, scoring 14 in the half. And perhaps the second most effective element in the 6ers offense was the 12 turnovers committed by the Celts. In the end, the Celtics basically strolled to a three-point halftime lead.
Brand disappeared in the second half, with only three points; but Lou Williams came on with 6-9 shooting (including a three). Iggy Iguodala finished with seven points in each half, as Paul Pierce did a fine defensive job on him, taking a locomotive-type charge at one point.
Rondo livened the proceedings in the third by repeatedly driving and scoring, although that didn't serve to energize some of the motionless Celtics offense I've seen in a while. The Celts defense tightened in the fourth quartet, highlighted by a great Perk block. and the offense was effective enough to make the last two minutes hack-a-Celt time. And this was one game in which the Celtics won the battle of the boards at both ends (9-7 and 32-23).
Rondo finished with another double-double and won the Tommy Award. I'd have to award two game balls, for consistency under the radar, to KG and Glen Davis. Just for the heck of it, I calculated the number of points scored per minute played, and those two were the runaway winners among those who played more than a couple of minutes:
Davis .75
KG .69
Everyone else .46 or less
Glen also grabbed three offensive and three defensive boards in his 16 minutes. And, in addition to 22 points, KG totaled eight boards (two offensive), four assists and three steals. KG just looks more fluid with each succeeding game.
Perk contributed four blocks and six boards, although he continues to miss some chippies and finished with only six points.
Nate was on the floor for 13 minutes and didn't force anything, taking only two shots and scoring five. Sheed had decent backup numbers (seven points, four boards), while Quis had a quiet 19 minutes (two points).
Tony Allen missed the game with a hip injury suffered in the previous game.
The bench was +8 for the game and the starters +2. In the final analysis, I had the feeling they were playing just well enough to win (at both ends). Four fast break points may be the best single indicator of how much energy the Celts left on the floor.
I think I've given this game about as much attention as it deserves. No unique glimmers in this one. Just another notch in the belt and an additional opportunity to gain some synergy. They'll never have to slow this one down if they look at video. The two teams did it for them.

Re: Celtics Post-Game Thread (Collection of past threads)
Sam,
One thing I added to the Second Honorable Mention on the Game On! thread was the following:
After losing the first quarter by 2 points, the Celtics won the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters by 5, 4 and 3 points. That's refreshing!!
Perhaps that is the one true glimmer.
I like Davis's energy lately. It is finally starting to click.
Kg is looking better each game.
Pierce's contribution didn't show up in the stat line. He provided the defense on Iggy, as you said.
