Has he officially handed in his retirement papers? 

Up until 2-3 weeks ago he had not. I know it is def time for him physically and all that. I was just holding out hope he returned at the end of the regular season to help the young T'Wolves make a playoff push. This was for 2 reasons:

1. So he could go into the HOF with Pierce the year after the Kobe/Duncan lovefest and not be jammed into their spotlight. 

2. So he could be the only NBA player to play in 4 decades of his life (teens, 20's, 30's 40's). He turned 40 in May.
