The Patriots
OK, let me just sound off on this one My reaction to Super Bowl LI and the Patriots?
(Boston team board we're on, yes. Me? Celtics fan for life, yes.
Western NY Bills fan, educated in Wisconsin who also loves The Pack; oh yes.)
The Patriots? In my book the most vile, creepy team ever assembled. Cheaters, with a completely unlikeable coach. The enemy.
Also...
Undoubtably and without question the greatest team in NFL history. Best coach and QB combo ever, and a defense that can stop almost anyone (except for the first half tonight). Incredible system that reclaims more lost players and works them into an undeniably winning culture.
No other team could stay that cool under pressure, while altering and executing a changed game plan.
Congrats Pats fans. This is one incredibly well managed team! Maybe the top dynasty in any team sport. Ever.
(Although you'll have to argue that one with those Yankees fans.)

NYCelt,
That was a most magnanimous, and back-handed, homage! LOL.
I have found that parades are a wonderful antidote for creepiness and universal scorn.

Bob,
One person I have here in the office is a native Bostonian. There has been a minor party going on all morning in the next room. I knew I should have put him in an office in the front of the suite.
Regards

Re: The Patriots
Speaking to my friend Charles Sullivan after the game who attended the SuperBowl, he said it was surreal as if time stood still in the 3rd and 4th quarter.
His dad was responsible for all you saw last night....Billy Sullivan had vision and a crazy idea about owning a professional football team and was awarded the eighth and final franchise of the developing American Football League (AFL) on November 16, 1959. On February 20, 1960, Sullivan chose "Boston Patriots" as their name and later changed by him to the New England Patriots................the rest as they say is history.
Thank Billy for planting the seed that became the greatest football dynasty of all time.

Re: The Patriots
I find that those that call the Patriots "cheaters" are fans of teams who are routinely BEATEN by the Pats.
I remember watching Michael Jordan go off on one his playoff games and taking the team on his back to the win years ago. The announcer at the time sais something to the effect of " Just sit back and watch greatness"
As a past long time Vikings fan, I appreciate being able to see GREATNESS. Too bad some cannot overcome their bias' and see what is in front of them.
Brady and Belichick are the greatest of all time....period.

Re: The Patriots
I find those people who love to hate the Pat's are just jealous losers
(Bills, Jets, et al). Sad to see this kind of post.
Brad? The best ever. Belechick? The best ever. Kraft? Great owner
I have followed this team from the beginning, first game to present. A season's ticket holder when they were AFL, playing is Harvard Stadium, BC, BU, you name it. We followed them every year even when they were losing, now that they are winning, we have to apologize? Give me a break. Too bad some feel so badly about them but just remember
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
