The Cavs need the trade more than the Celts.

If the Celts have the 2018 Nets and Lakers pick, that means there's a chance both Porter Jr. and Bagly III could end up being drafted by the Celts.

Not saying it's a sure thing, it's just possible.

How can they win a championship with an unhappy Kyrie Irving?

If the Cavs really thought they can win a championship with an unhappy Kyrie then they would not have pulled the trigger in the first place.

They are not giving up Kyrie if IT isn't very close to what he was this year.
They need a healthy IT or Kyrie.
They aren't going to go out of their way to help Boston.
Cleveland will make a different trade or renegotiate with Boston for different assets.

If the Cavs want to back out of the deal then send back Jae, Zizic, IT, and the 2018 Brooklyn pick.

Nothing wrong with waiting another 3-4 years to complete the rebuilding process.

Having Kyrie would've shortened the rebuild to 2-3 years.
But if the Cavs want to rescind then so be it.

The deal was too good to be true anyway.

Lebron, Love, and IT can beat Boston in a 7-game series.
This deal favors the Cavs in the short term because IT, Lebron, and Love is also a Big 3.

And the 2018 Nets pick is an insurance policy once Lebron leaves next summer.

Lebron leaves.
Kyrie gets traded.
And no 2018 Brooklyn pick.

Cavs will have to undergo the multiple years of being in the lottery again.

If IT is hurt, Cleveland can't take this risk.
If IT is healthy, this is a great deal for Cleveland.
Where it sits now is that Cleveland is leaning toward backing out of the trade.

There will be other trades for Kyrie is this one doesn't go through.

Maybe the Cavs want a deal like the one OKC gave the Pacers.
Sabonis and Oladipo for Kyrie seems fair to you?

It depends on what the Cavs want in addition to what's already a done deal.

Sure IT coming back is uncomfortable, but it's just business, nothing personal.

I was already prepared to accept the bad news on IT's hip injury.
But what keeps me optimistic is the 2018 Nets and Lakers picks ending up the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

We are already giving too much for a flat-earther and locker room cancer.

Just give us back our stuff and go home, you ain't gonna get any more!

It was a mistake in the first place to help our main competition in the East.

Welcoming the Nets 2018 draft pick back would be very comfortable.

Nets roster tells me they will still suck, DeAngelo Russell might be unhappy and regress, can see them giving us another lottery pick 1-5. I know Pacers, Hawks and Knicks and Magic will all be bad, but so will Nyets.
