End of bench, open spot filler.

No truth to the rumor they needed someone to wash Stevens' car and get take-out for late night snacks. Maybe.

A 10-day contract.  A up-close-and-personal look and a cup of coffee.

Well, the kid sure can shoot.  Fast release, high release.  Catches and shoots and can shoot off of a hand off.

6'7", 218#.  26 years old.  Played 26 games in 2015-2016 for Washington and 5 games last year for Phoenix, so he has some NBA experience.  Obviously his stats aren't that good from those years otherwise he'd still be in the NBA.  His G-League stats are much better but, well, it's the G-League.  45% from 3 there this year.  By comparison, Jabari Bird is only shooting 33% from 3 in Maine.

I have always liked these 10 day contracts, but mostly for the players who sign them much more than for the signing team. These players get a look in the big time, get rewarded for their play in the G League, pick up a little bit more in salary, and hopefully can hook on for more than just the ten days.

For some reason, I seem to think that most of the 10 day guys usually sign with lower ranking teams who may have depth problems and not so much with first place type teams who already have a 9 to 10 man rotation.

It figures that this Eddie guy is a specialist (shooting?) who may or may not get a chance to show anything with the Cs. I predict that nothing much will change for the Cs with his signing.

Low risk tryout reflects a need that the Celtics have identified.

The Celtics rotation off the bench as a group collectively struggles to score. we need scoring from the wing off the bench. I guess you could make an argument that Morris is a wing but since he also starts in certain games we have no scorer off the bench.

Brown, Hayward and Tatum will not be redundant. The Celtics need all three of them
