I guess anything is possible and given the apparent offer Boston made for Leonard there was some interest there. But here we are months removed from that and who knows if Leonard can still ball. If he was healthy enough to play and choose not to then I cannot see Boston looking to trade for him.

I think Boston may not be ready to payout contracts for 4 max level players.

I agree with kylecleric regarding the assets thrown into the mix (by me) too much and no thank you

I put the proposal out there for no particular reason other than the fact that an offer was made and rejected and Danny has a tendency to be very persistent when he targets a particular player.

Reason why the Celts won't trade for Kawhi right now is because Kawhi won't commit to the Celts long term.

If Kawhi says he's ready to have a long career in Boston, Ainge will pull the trigger.

At this point in time last year, some here also didn't believe Ainge would trade Isaiah Thomas.

That Kyrie Irving to the Celts was too far-fetched.

A few weeks later, Kyrie became a Celtic.

With Danny Ainge in the controls, anything's possible.

The trade only makes sense if Irving is swapped for Leonard because Irving may bolt next year as well.

If Ainge trades for Leonard and gives up Brown or Tatum and high draft picks for a duplicate position already filled...........DANNY AINGE IS EITHER NUTS OR ON DRUGS AS THE REST OF THE SPECULATORS ARE!
