Just one man's opinion...
Tough not to close it out tonight, to push it to the limit and not close it out.
But what makes the C's so fantastic to follow, isn't that they always win, they don't. It isn't even that they always play great, they don't.
But how many exciting games has this team been a part of through the years?
If watching the C's playing in the playoffs doesn't get you going, check for a pulse.
We'll get em next time... GO CELTICS...

Re: Just one man's opinion...
I'll second that! The Magic certainly has the Celtics' focus, which should deter any taking for granted or looking ahead to another series.
It seemed to me that Van Gundy made a great adjustment with what the announcers referred to as "staggered screens" to force Rondo to careen around in trying to keep up with Nelson. It was probably even more effective if, in fact, Rondo did have some leg problems. It will be interesting to see how Doc responds with counter-adjustments—and how Rondo's leg responds to treatment and a travel day.

Re: Just one man's opinion...
After the game when they asked Doc about the adjustment that Van Gundy made - he said it was not an adjustment, that the Magic had been running that all series long - just that the Celtics didnt handle it well last night.
I look at it this way. The Celtics played poor defense and mediocre offensive for most of the night - and still were in the game until the final buzzer. They took the Magic's best shot - and lost by 4. When the Celtics gave the Magic their best shot, the won by 23. If that isnt in the back of both team's heads, I would be surprised.
Celtics will close it out on Wednesday.

It's a nice fact, although I don't believe that's the way players think.

I say it will now boil down to the coaches strategies and adjustments. Our big advantage is our players mental strength and toughness.
We must take it in 5!
btw, this is my 1st post here

thebat,
I'd like to add my welcome, as well. I'm curious how you found us? I believe, since you wrote "we must take it in 5", that you're a Celtic fan. We do have fans from other teams here as well.
If I may take a small exception to what you wrote above, I'd say we'd like to take it in 5, but we don't need to. We can go home and win it in 6 or, since we've shown we can win in Orlando, go there and win in 7. I really, really don't want to go 7, but I'm not afraid of it.
Keep the good posts coming.

Welcome aboard, thebat. This is easily the best forum I have ever been a part of. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have and as much as all the others who call this site home for Celtic basketball.
