Report: Blake Griffin Ordered to Pay $258K Monthly in Child
KENNY DUCEYThursday August 2nd, 2018
Pistons forward Blake Griffin has been ordered by the Los Angeles Superior Court to pay a sum of $258,000 a month in child support, according to Radar Online.
The celebrity gossip blog, which says it obtained court documents from a civil suit between Griffin and his ex-fiancee Brynn Cameron, reports the 29-year-old will give Cameron over $3 million each year for their two children Ford, 5, and Finn, 2.
The $3 million equates to around 9% of the $35 million the court declared to be Griffin's annual income after investments and endorsements, so the amount that comes out of his paychecks won't necessarily be that massive in relation to what he makes. According to the documents, both sides were ordered in July to "mutually agree" on school expenses, but the Pistons star would be responsible for extracurricular activities. They have joint custody of their children.

Re: Pay to play......,
Although I have never paid any child support or want this guy's kids to be homeless or starve, $1.5 M per kid per year for child support is ridiculous. Oh, to be insanely rich.

Re: Pay to play......,
I don't know if he had to pay the same % as I did, he would be paying about $7 M per year...based on the articles $35 M in his income.
his children should be kept at the same level of support as if they were in his custody.

What that really should say is "if you play, you pay"

Poor little babies. We raised five kids and never made $3 M combined in all of our years of working.
My sympathies just ooze toward these little ones.

And if you cheated on your wife and left her with 5 kids - you deserve to have your income heavily garnished. In any world, 9% of Daddy' salary is far too little.
If you and your wife made $200K a year, that would be $18 thousand dollars a year FOR TWO KIDS. In what world can you take care of a child for $9000 a year?
9% is actually a bargain for Blake.

Re: Pay to play......,
Can’t begin to put a price tag on a father that is there for his kids. Not a part time one.
These kids won’t lack “things”
But they will lack a real”father.”
IMHO

Re: Pay to play......,
I understand what it costs to raise kids. And also not to have a father at home because I was unlucky not to have mine after the age of 6.
My point with my first post is that i really do have a problem with any kid needing $1.5 M a year to "survive" for the next 15+ years of a childhood.

perhaps the problem is really why does ANYONE need $1.5M per year?
or else why would anyone want to key on the children?

Re: Pay to play......,
Perhaps it has more to do with how much of his parents income a child can expect (hope) to inherent in the future.

A rich father earns more, so pays more. Pretty simple math that has nothing to do with what you think someone needs to survive.

After dealing with courts for a number of years in New York it’s pretty simple how support is calculated....and this is based on gross earnings not net income.
In most situations, the percentages are as follows:
17 percent for one child
25 percent for two children
29 percent for three children
31 percent for four children
At least 35 percent for five children
Here is the entire bit
