Happy Birthday
The Chief. 65 years. Damn I'm old.
A member of the original Big 3, arguably the greatest frontcourt in the history of basketball.

All 3 were great turn-a-round jump shooters in the 8 to12 ft range. Great height and high release for both McHale and Parish. I watched them last night on nbatv in 2 of their games against the Lakers back in the 80's.

I loved that team and the Chief, just curious if he didn’t get traded and play with Bird, would he have made HoF? Maybe Bird got him there....

"arguably"?
I cant even recall last time I heard a differing opinion on that.
good grief though, 65???
just looked it up, bird is 61 and McHale is 60. How'd this all happen, '86 was just yesterday it feels like.

His last 2 years with Golden State compared favorably with his best in Boston. Perhaps he would have put up even better numbers if he had been the go to guy for another team. He sure was durable.
