Shout out to Doc Rivers, he’s got his team playing great despite losing their best player, their record is actually creeping close to ours and they are doing a great job keeping Kings out of this years playoffs....

The Lakers have to make up 3 games in the loss column to tie the Kings (forget about making the playoffs, we just need them to win a tiebreaker against the Kings) and they have 18 games to do it in. It's doable, but they gotta do it.

It sucks that Luke's big chance came with Magic's signing of coach-killer LeBron James and now he's probably going to be gone as soon as the season ends.

Watching the beginning of the Houston/Toronto game.  Houston is doing the exact same thing to them as they did to us.  High screen to penetrate and a dump down to Capela.

Our defense really made a great impact in that game, a lot of scores directly result of the defense, if we can defend like that in playoffs....

Kyrie and KD in Boston next year after we win #18 this June?

KD has no character, he probably would come here to play after we win....I’m looking too far ahead, but if we win, that would be a Herculean effort from our 3 top wings that would confirm that 2 J’s will be future multiple all stars and GH will be back to that all star level too. We wouldn’t need him and I wouldn’t want him.

If we win # 18 this year, why mess with the chemistry again?

I watch the 4th QTR of the Lakers/Nuggets.

This resembled a wake. Kuz and Ingram did not play. Lebron and company could not stop anybody. Expressions on the face of Magic, Rob Pelinka and coach Walton told the whole story. Rajon Rondo sitting by himself away from the team with a crazy look on his face. he was sitting in the front row by himself with the fans. I never seen anything like that before.

With the Lakers now 6 games out of the 8th spot, their playoff hopes gone and the prospect of Lebron James going fishing early, brings a smile to my face.

The Lakers are now 1 game better year over year at 30-35.

BTW, what is it with some NBA teams retaining their old names after a move?
There are no lakes in LA. Tar pits, yes, but no lakes. No Jazz in Utah either. Hornets in NC for sure. My daughter got stung by one there. Pistons in Detroit for sure. But no lakes in LA.

I do not want to even think about next year, let's concentrate on this one. There has to be revenge in the hearts of the Celtic players after the embarrassing losses to both LA teams. I look forward to them putting their defensive hats on and stopping those three pointers from flying. They should win the next two to save face and return home to the fans who have supported them thru think and thin.

TJ I just read back to some of the posts, Congratulations on your wedding. Hope you are both happy and that your daughter is fully recovered. Grad school huh? What is her major? My daughter graduated from BC with a masters in Criminology and Sociology. She is in private practice now as a therapist and yoga/wellness coach. I swear she would stay in school forever if she could.

Rondo, sitting 3 seats down from the rest of the Laker bench in their last loss.  We know that Rondo is headstrong and can't get along with a lot of coaches, but his beef doesn't seem to be with Luke Walton.  LeBron has said that the Laker youth isn't ready for that next step up.  I think Kuzma is, definitely.  Ingram, no.  Ball, no.  Hart, he's good for where he is right now.
