The Celtics lost a disappointing game to LAL at home. It was a one point loss 129-128 on a last second shot by the least likely guy on the court, Rajon Rondo.
Some games piss you off more than others and this was one of them.
Now I am hearing that LA may reduce King James minutes as they have thrown in the towel. They have waved the white flag.
Whatever they do or do not do has nothing to do with our team. We need to be ready to play game # 3 on the road with a high level of intensity and discipline. Just because LA does not play a lick of defense there is no reason to do the same. They killed Boston from deep going 22-41 which I believe was a record for them.
It will be Saturday Night so all the stars will be out and having Boston come in is an added bonus for their fans.
We have not a minute to waste on this poor excuse for a basketball team. We need to beat them down early and often. They may have no future this season but we have a lot to play for.
Hugs and kisses should be minimized as they are the enemy and should be treated as such. All this hugging gives me the creeps. Kyrie stop it!
My hope is that Boston does not revert back to the foul level of play where they do not execute. Take what you accomplished at GS and do the same thing. It works.
I hope the Celtics are ready to play tomorrow night. If they are sluggish they were hanging out late tonight.
Jaylen Brown scored 18 in the first meeting on 7-10 from the field in only 25 minutes. Let's get him more minutes. Tatum, Horford, Irving, Theis and Rozier played well. Smart and Morris were hideous and GH was below average on offense but had 6 boards and 5 assists.
We need some Baynes in the mix to bang with Chandler and Mcgee.
Boston was shamefully soft and played like pansies.

Sixers were 3-26 from 3 tonight. They have stunk lately on the road. Sure hope we get up to the 4th or 3rd spot.

Different pundits on ESPN said they don’t want to injure him further like the franchise did with Kobe when he was 34, they played him more minutes and his Achilles snapped. Kobe was never the same after that. I don’t see any young in their peak superstars going over there to play with Lebron.

Jimmy Butler sure does not have enough ability to carry that team....glad we never traded one of our 3rd round picks for him.

Worcester
I think Boston can definitely get a 3rd or 4th seeding.
Indy still has 13 out of 16 games against playoff teams including 2 against Boston. They win at a .44% rate against .500 and above teams so they likely go 6-7 in those 13 games. We beat them and we pretty much guarantee a better seeding.
Philly also has a tough remaining schedule playing 9 of 16 on the road. On Sunday they play Indy so one of those teams lose.
Boston just needs to buckle down and play the right way. Bad habits are tough to break. Getting through this final stretch in good shape will depend on our defense and hope that our offense is equally good.

Defense which is 60% about energy and effort wins championships. If our D is good, the offense will follow.

Yes that is it. Some things never change.
I'm starting to get hyped up for the game tonight.

Exactly that was the biggest glimmer from GS game, our defense came out after them from the start. Denver cannot matchup defensively with GS, we can, we have younger faster longer athletes on the perimeter. We might match up defensively with them better than anybody in league.....
