willjr,
Correct. Except it was a poorly worded question by me. I should have added "all as a Celtics player" because that was what I had in mind.
Robert Parish did play over 40,000 minutes, but not all as a Celtics player. 45,704 minutes, to be exact. He is joined by a handful of other players who totaled more than 40k minutes, but not all as a Celtics player.
I have to give you credit for your answer. Full marks.
So with another point up for grabs I will re-word the question,
Which two other Celtics players have played more than 40,000 minutes all as a Celtics player?

BobC,
Correct.
Shaq gave Paul Pierce his nickname, The Truth". Except there was a little bit more added to it when it happened.

Bob Cousy and Bill Russell?
I was tempted to go with Togo Palazzi but don’t think he was an all star.

The season it happened was much earlier than the Russell years . . .

Would have thought McHale was 4th, surprised that Satch and Cooz ranked so high.

Re: Boston Celtics 2020 Daily Sports Calendar
Just noticed Cowens rebounding numbers in ASG and wanted to add when I was a kid I loved watching the all star game because it was so fun to watch Cowens attack/dominate the boards. I still remember not understanding the game fully and my Dad gleefully telling me Cowens had 20 rebounds in the all star game, after that I understood what a rebound was, and Cowens would never disappoint....

BobC,
Correct.
Before Russell could join the Celtics, he had one more tournament to play as an amateur. He led the United States national basketball team in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia. Russell was so eager to compete in the Olympics, he later told friends, that if he hadn’t been on the basketball squad, he would have competed in the high jump. Melbourne was another victory for Russell, with the U.S. team defeating the Soviet Union 89 to 55 in the final game.

It is a new month, so it is time to clean up all the questions left unanswered as well as tally up the contest winner board.
I'll start with the questions left unanswered:
Here's the answer:
24.87 rebounds per game. Here is a list of the top ten Celtics players:

Trivia Question:
The movie came out in 1953 and starred John Wayne. Name any two other actors/actresses to play in the movie.
(Extra trivia. Our Sam (Dick Dorr), always insisted that the nickname "Hondo" wasn't used by other players. Instead, it was for the most part used by the media and fans.)
Here's the answer to the non-basketball question:
