Re: Kemba Injury Update - ESPN
Wasn't it worcester who suggested this type of solution months ago?! Nobody listens to us!! Kemba could have been ready to go Day 1! WTH, Bo?!!
It's not really that bad in that he will only miss the first two weeks of the season. BFD. If he comes back with a brand new knee, we'll never remember this bump in the road.
Besides, the first few weeks are going to be getting the new guys integrated anyway.

Re: Kemba Injury Update - ESPN
some news about other players recovering from off-season procedures:
Jared Weiss: Daniel Theis says he has no restrictions now after a knee scope this offseason and he’s ready for training camp. 6 hours ago – via Twitter JaredWeissNBA
In addition, guard Romeo Langford’s rehab has been proceeding as planned after he underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his wrist on Sept. 22. His expected return from the date of the procedure was four to five months, the team said. 10 hours ago – via ESPN
so Kemba will miss at least a couple weeks and Romeo could be out until the end of February .
maybe that TPE may come into play after all.

Re: Kemba Injury Update - ESPN
Yes dbrown, I suggested that a few weeks ago. PRP and/or Stem cell injections can very much help knees, but they take at least 6 weeks to have an impact. If he comes back in February along with Romeo we will be lucky, but perhaps much better equipped for our playoff run.
Re: Kemba Injury Update - ESPN
D. Green who's at OKC right now looks like a great option if Ainge wants to add a vet.
JJ Redick at NO is another player who Ainge might take a look at.
we could send them Edwards (and some of that TPE) and both teams save lots of Salary this year.
Smart and Teague can then handle PG duties and we can let Kemba sit longer and see if his knee responds by the end of the season.
Tatum, Brown and Green or Redick would give us vet depth at wing then with Nesmith and maybe Langford brought along slower until they are ready.

Danny Green was traded from OKC to Philadelphia in the Horford trade.
I think he will be staying with Philly for the season.

Obviously will ultimately depend on how Kemba’s full team workouts go but I’ve been hearing that they’re targeting next Friday vs Orlando for his return.

Brad Stevens said Kemba Walker’s knee strengthening program has been a success. “He’s been pain-free for (over) a month now.”

Good news, I think this is a good thing. I hope he is coming back on his terms, that will help a lot with his mental attitude. He is going to be rusty.

I thought Kemba should be out as long as possible, but if he's good, he's good. Hope he is in All Star form.
Re: Kemba Injury Update - ESPN
I’m glad we kept him out that long, it’s a marathon

Re: Kemba Injury Update - ESPN
This is great news. Kemba gives us that 3rd dynamic offensive weapon and if his knee is pain free he should be dynamic. Brad will need to ease him back into the rotation and Kemba needs to not ignore any recurring issues. Seeing is believing.
A healthy Kemba changes the projections of this team. So far this year we have seen both JT and JB improve greatly, and our developing rotation looks better as SO, and the Williams boys are playing at another level up. We have a PG rookie that provides more depth at the point along with veteran JT and we have great experience at center with the addition of TT.
At 7-3 the Celtics are in position to make some noise. The Covid 19 effects everyone so teams with depth have a better chance of staying in contentions.
