I'll just get this started now.
Jaylen sat this game out. That left Tatum and Kemba as our scorers. They were a combined 12-42, 28.5%. We took a total of 93 fgas, so their 42 represents 45% of our team's total fgas. AWFUL.
Kemba with the worst game of his Celtic career, which is already underwhelming. Useless on offense and defense.
Jayson with 22 fgas. He's averaging 21.8 fgas/game anyway, so an underwhelming effort by him too. Without Jaylen on the court there's a lot more fgas available for him, and he didn't take them. Kemba did, and Kemba is NOT an efficient scorer (classic understatement). Not an Alpha Dog game by Jayson Tatum.
Thompson with 12 rebounds, 6 offensive. Did his job.
Teague with a really good game. 10 points on 4-8, 2-2 from 3 and good defense throughout. I've been as tough on him as anybody, but this game he played well.
C3 with the start. That was a mistake. 1-6, 0-4 from 3.
Pritchard saved our ass in the 3rd with 3 after 3 to help us claw back to a tie from 17 down. Only a Booker buzzer beater had us down. 12 points on 4-9, all from 3, for PP and some really good man-to-man defense on Chris Paul. PP was 0-2 at the half for zero points. 2-4 after 3 for 6 (2-2 in the 3rd) and then 2-5 in the 4th.
Another good game by Grant. He's a smart player, even if he is a few inches too short, and he makes smart plays. He reads and rotates defensively very quickly.
Theis with a good game. Another good game in a few weeks of good games by our German.
RWill with 10 minutes of, basically, nada. 2 rebounds and frito. Bleh.

Grant once again impressed me. Apologies to the man. Pritchard is already so good. Kemba, sad.

I like GWill and Semi, but when they play the 4, whoever they are next to, we can’t control the defensive board. It’s time to start PP, he knows how to find his spots with economy of motion and was impressed with his defense, textbook positioning, good hands and pit bull attitude. The other guy Kemba was Kyriesqe like vs Bucks he was so bad. Brad has to coach/teach guys how to help us if their shot is not falling. True stars can help even if their shot is off, it’s called modifying your game, get the ball to the hot hand, anything is better than jacking up bad shot after bad shot. Is this guy ever coached?
