I think he’s been on 4 teams in the last 5 years, why doesn’t anyone like his hair?

So we have the best overall record, best away record. score the most ppg and are tied with Phoenix for the best MOV.
Not bad at all. 34-year old coaches take heart!

Re: Around The League 2022-2023 Season
Reports are that Dallas is going to sign Kemba.
They have the #3 defense (wouldn't have known it by their game vs the Celtics last week) but their offense is #26. I suppose adding Kemba would help that.

They didn’t want to sign Brunson to a long range contract, let him go for nothing. Brunson has enough scoring and point skills to add to a winning situation. Hope this rest did Kemba good, think this is his 4th team in 3 years.

Re: Around The League 2022-2023 Season
The Knicks were willing to overpay for Brunson. Mark Cuban was not, but that stinginess will cost the Mavs a chance to move on in the playoffs. I doubt that Kemba will increase their wins over last year.

Don't cheer the Laker's 17 point collapse last night. We do NOT want them to get Wembanyama. We want to them to lose enough to hurt them, not enough for them to hurt us.

Wow!!!! Luka with a vintage triple double carrying his team to a win vs the team I hate the most right now, GS in a game Klay Thompson only scored 6 points. That’s why Luka may be MVP, everyone knows how much he has to carry that team. Guy is such a workhorse and one man wrecking crew. Usually MVP is best player on team with the best record, this might be a different year, like Jerry West being Finals MVP in 69.

Yeah, cowens/oldschool, it's going to be a hard, almost impossible sell for the MVP to come out of a non-contenting, .500 ball club, no matter how good he is. Until Cuban drops Shark Tank and focuses on his biggest asset and getting Luka some help for the love of God, he's not going to get it. OK, that was a cheap shot! Here comes Ktron to straighten me out!!!

Re: Around The League 2022-2023 Season
Colin Cowherd floated the idea of Boston trading RWill to the Lakers for Anthony Davis.
OMG! What a maroon!
First of all, the numbers don't work. We'd have to give RWill PLUS a player or two to match AD's salary, and I doubt fringe contracts like Jackson or even Pritchard would be enough to move the needle.
Secondly, if RWill's health is a question mark then what about AD's? He's played 155 games in 3 1/4 years in LA, call it 48 games/season. RWill's played 174 games in 4 1/4 seasons in Boston (he only played 32 games in his rookie year because he was so raw, and hasn't played any games this season), that's 41 games/season. So AD isn't TOO much more available than RWill. In fact, if you take out his rookie year and just call it "Learning Time for a late 2nd rounder" you're looking at 142 games in 3 1/4 years and that 44 games/season is pretty close to AD's 48.
AD will be 30 in March. RWill just turned 25.
And lastly, why would we want to salvage LA's miserable ass from the 7th level of Hell they are in while disrupting the good thing we have going at the same time? We have the #1 team in the league. Why would we move a major piece, who's finally coming back on a very team-friendly contract, for an oft-injured player that is on one of the league's worst teams?
Cowherd needs to get the Hell outta LA. It's rotted his purple-and-gold brain. Get it through your head, nobody outside of Laker Land wants to help the Lakers. You're flailing about, hoping someone will take pity on you and throw your Lakers a life preserver, but that isn't going to happen. Nobody wants Westbrook, if they did he'd already be gone. Nobody outside of the Nets, who would give up Kyrie in a heartbeat for just about anybody, wants his ME-ball ass for his price tag either. LeBron will be 38 years old in December and is signed for huge money through 2024-2025 when he will be 40 for most of the season. He's only played 13 games so far this season out of 19 total. The world is a cold place as it is but your Lakers are in cryogenic stasis at least until you can cut Westbrook loose at the end of this year. Think of it as an extended beauty nap and you'll stop feeling so bad about it and just accept it.

We are not disassembling this team just to get Anthony Davis. Some team will, but not us. Danny Ainge has left the building!
Some team may help the Lakers pull a rabbit out of their hat, like this trade from the past:
On Feb. 1, 2008, the Los Angeles Lakers swung a franchise-altering trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that netted All-Star big man Pau Gasol and a second-round draft pick in exchange for Kwame Brown , Javaris Crittenton , Aaron McKie , the draft rights to Marc Gasol and first-round picks in 2008 and 2010.
Do they have the assets to pull this one off again? Is there a team out there that loves draft picks and has a franchise-altering player to trade away?
I hope not.

Re: Around The League 2022-2023 Season
A. Danny already traded away his star players and he does not want AD now.
B. AD already gave the Celtics the finger.

Since one of his investments is Shark Tank, I’m sure he could walk away and still make boo koo bread so the real reason why he probably wont walk away anytime soon is that camera and face time on TV is addictive. Besides owning the Mavs, Cuban also has Magnolia Pictures, AXS TV and about $20mil invested in 85 companies.
I think dude knows a wee bit when it comes to multi tasking. LOL
