I have us winning 53 games this season.

I think we can be around .500 going into the Xmas game (17-16) After that we will have 49 games remaining and if Rob is back I think we can win those game at a .750 clip. My untested formula:

17 + (49*.75) = 53.75

I went with 49 wins.  I think we will be better this year than last, but also think the East this year could be absolutely stacked with only a couple of teams in tank mode. The West also should see many teams improving. Except for the tankers, almost every team can be good on any given night so few easy games for us.

I think it is going to be an enjoyable season, especially if Brogdon and Lob Williams get and stay healthy for the second half of the season and playoffs.

My 53 win total is based on Robert Williams being able to play by Xmas.

His platelet rich plasma therapy may help to get him ready but there is no way for any of us to know. Everybody does not heal the same way.

This article is from October 3, 2022; before the season started.  I saved it, but withheld posting this article until now because I didn't want to influence anybody's honest appraisal of how we'd do this season.  I wanted you to vote based upon what you thought and not hedge vs some external measuring stick.  With only 4 games left, I think it's time to unveil it.

It says that Point Bets, NBC's official sports betting partner, projected the Celtics to win 55.5 games this season.  Strangely, just a few lines down from that claim, they predict the Celtics to win 54.5 games.  Typo?  Read it and you tell me.  It provides the predictions for every team too, so if you want to see how well they did vs the punditry's predictions (or how well the punditry fared against reality, depending upon your perspective) you can click on the link above and see them all.

As of 4/2/23, with 4 games left, the Boston Celtics have won 54 games.  If they split the last 4, 2-2, they will definitely be over.  

Our remaining schedule:  3 home, 1 away

@ Philadelphia - currently 3rd place 51-26.  They are 2 games back.  We own the tiebreaker because we are already 3-0.
Toronto - currently 9th 38-39
Toronto-  a rare, and weird, double home game stand vs the same opponent.  They are NOT B2B.
Atlanta - currently 8th 38-39.  They must own the tiebreaker vs Toronto

I would like to see a playoff guess. i.e. 16-6

The final, correct number of wins is 57.  Nobody picked 57.

Sinus with 56 and Rosalie with 58 bracketed it.

The only bigger optimist than Rosalie was Matty, who said 62.  I remember this surprising me since Hooter usually goes with 82.  If not for some inexplicable losses we might have had 62.  Oh well.   I'll take 16 more wins and call it even.
