More on Ledunce, his latest commercial is crap,it doesn't say anything, just redundent overkill,he keeps throwing more and more dirt on his image/self.Did it ever occur to Ledunce anybody at any level of playing hoops has felt the burn at sometime at the end of an intense fullcourt game.I miss that now as that strain was part of a great workout and sweat.Just suck it up and be a man,can he shut up and do this?Don't cry and whine and make excuses, must be an uncomfortable adjustmant to feel so much hate.....well get used to it.

I have to say I admire all you Celtics fans for being interested in basketball beyond the Celtics. But I can't, for the life of me, comprehend the attention being given to Lebron. I realize that the lion's share is negative attention. But I still don't get it.

I read every bit of it, but frankly it's only because I have to read it as a moderator. I don't recall even Tiger Woods getting such attention, to say nothing of Kobe when he went through his Colorado phase.

I have to conclude that many of you are fascinated by how this guy can succeed in ratcheting up the anti-Bron sentiment with practically his every word and deed. I don't recall a phenomenon like it since Adolph One-Ball was wielding that stupid crooked logo in the early 40s. OJ might have come close because of the sheer length and publicity of his trial, but the BronGate saga seems to have even more pervasive power—and he didn't even commit a legal crime.

Go to it with the bashing, and have a great time; and I may even chip in once in a while. But I'm still baffled at the power and legs this phenomenon has.

Sam

think there are many factors that keep it going, first Bron himself then the media fasination just continues to push it. Sort of like that book that you just can't put down after you start it,

anyway you coined the the phrase "legal crime" in your post.

So what is a legal crime? Just wondering.

Or is this a bit of an oxymoron like JUMBO-shrimp.

Beat,

It's a crime in legal terms. If it were in illegal terms, it wouldn't be a crime.

Can't talk now. Have to meet my partner, Bud Abbott.

Sam,
Let me try to take a shot answering your question re: Lebron.
In no particular order.
1. He's a main part in Miami Heat. And there's a very high probability that Celtics will be playing them in playoffs. IOW before they go to LA they have to go to Miami, therefor who cares about KB before LJ isn't taken care of.
2. He's a main character in unprecedented and despicable show that we, basketball fans, were subjected to.
3. Continuing the movie/show analogy. In vast majority of movies/shows main character is a "good guy": decent, honest, principled fella. So, MSM's trying to cram such image of Lebron down our throats. But any thinking or unbiased basketball fan realizes that it's not so. Therefore the resentment that has to be expressed.

Hope I was clear and logical enough.

I like watching train wrecks, and the BIG one at Daytona or Talladaga just like I'll watch a bit of the show called "Destroyed in Seconds"

This Miami version will take a little longer however, plenty of time to go to the bathroom and get some popcorn and I won't miss anything.

I heard that Denzell Washington is now starring in a movie on Lebron's biography.

Hi,
Here is a confirmation of one of my points re: Lebron. Just found it on yahoo Sports.
Apparently Time has financial interest in his career or Nike paid Time.

Hitler won it in 1938 Joseph Stalin won it in 1939 and 1942. Ayatullah Khomeini in 1979

Not that Bron is them but just shows you that all ttpes of "greatness" are factored in.

Man/Person of the Year...........................Man could his head get any bigger should he actually win?

Hmmm......

Old One-Ball is getting a lot of play on this thread.

Personally, I'm glad he's still dead.
