Having NYK light up LeBron last night was most enjoyable. LeBron had that exact same look on his face after this game when we knocked them out in the playoffs. "This just isn't going to work."

Has anyone checked out MIA schedule coming up? This is bascially the season for MIA. If they don't figure out how to beat the upper crust, #1-3 seed is over.

NYK, ORL, @SAS, CHI, POR, LAL, MEM, SAS, OKC, @ATL, and DEN! Already 0-1. The only advantage they have is that most are at home. If they can come out 6-5 that would be about as good as you could as for. While ours is no cakewalk with all the adjustments, we may be finally looking at the breathing room we need to hold onto #1 seed. CHI is going to have to help, though. And they will. They are masters of the bonehead, inexplicable losses. Not counting chickens but this is a plus given our mess.

Here's our remaining schedule, ONLY AWAY GAMES AGAINST TOUGHER OPPONENTS ARE CITED:
UT, PHX, MILW, CLIPS, 76ERS, MILW, NETS, IND, HOU, @NO, @KNICKS, MEM, CHA, MIN, IND, @SAS, @ATL, DET, 76ES, @CHI, WIZ, @MIA, WZ, KNICKS.

I'm liking us right now. Obviously, the next few weeks are going to be choppy as we integrate our newbies, but I'm liking our schedule. We've got a healthy dose of sub-.500 teams coming up.

Outside,

I was perhaps too general in my remarks. Tommy's OK. Didn't mean to lump him in or anyone for that matter. I don't expect complete impartiality among announcers. They are biased by definition. The Clippers announcers were so starkly different it threw me. They may be the best ones I've ever heard for "away" announcers. Very intelligent and knowledgable. Not just spewing to hear themselves talk. Some out there are intolerable when the Celtics come to town.

Bobh,

CHI's isn't much easier than MIA but I am expecting them to win more and put the heat (pun intended) on us to keep winning. I am liking our chances, blown up bench or not.

Outside and Dbrown,

I spent the eighties and most of the nineties in Los Angeles and the Clips were my fix when the C's weren't on the tv. I even had season tix for a while in the 2000-2004 years. Ralph Lawler is a top notch announcer who was paired for a while with the "Big Redhead" as he called him (Bill Walton).
A few of his sayings:
"BINGO" after a big shot.
"LAWLER'S LAW" = First team to 100 points wins.
"OMEEOMY" = when things go bad and boy did they a lot for the Clippers.

He just celebrated his 2500th telecast. Congrats to him and the Clippers for having enough sense to keep him all these years.

By the way. Do you all know his broadcast partner? Drafted high by our beloved C's in the Bird era. That's right Beat! Michael Smith.........
