Denver beating LA - How? and Wow!
George Karl is a great coach. Look what he's done since losing Melo. Great game in progreess now vs. LA. I'm still rooting for the Celts to catch up with LA in w/l record. Go Nuggets

W,
Great title for a thread!
It seems like Carmelo's departure was addition by subtraction for Denver. But I agree that the key for that team is Karl. He doesn't get nearly enough mention in the discussion of top NBA coaches.

Denver has played very well since the trade, so it's not such a surprise. They're now 14-4 since getting the players from the Knicks. They've just been under the radar a bit because the Lakers have had such a stellar run during that time. Neither team had a great game, but Denver had the confidence and determination to take advantage of the opportunity.
With the glut of players they acquired from New York, they have a very deep roster, and they take advantage of other teams' second units. They don't have a star anymore, so they play unselfishly and find the hot hand on offense or weak link in the opponent's defense. They run and gun and are fun to watch. Michael (bigpygme) might be able to provide more insight.

15-4 actually. Denver's guard play really helped, and that may portend well for us if Rajon has to go against Derek Fisher.

Worcester,
Not a big deal, but I was counting the games since the Knick players arrived, not games since the trade. They won a game with Memphis after the trade was announced but before all players had arrived and passed their physicals. So they are 15-4 since the trade was announced, 14-4 since the Knick players arrived. In either case, they've been playing well, that's for sure.

Looking at the box score.............kobe took 27 shots (made 10). Rest of starters 30. With Gasol only getting 10 (made 7). Bit too much Kobe so it would appear.
Denver has done quite well since the trade.
