My first guess is Bobby Knight
second guess is Lucas himself
third would be Larry Siegfried
fourth Red Holzman
as for it being true. of course it COULD have been.

John Havlicek became as great as he did because it was just his way.He was driven as a basketball player. a perfectionist. The only other one I could attribute this saying to is Larry Siegfried, they were roommates and good friends.
