Illegal Meeting with Howard? Empty Illegal Meeting with Howard?

Latest rumor is that Dwight Howard met with the Russian owner of the NJ Nets, Mikhail Prokhorov and the NJ Nets GM the other night, without Orlando's permission, and Orlando is filing charges with the league office for tampering.

IF TRUE, my bet is that not only will the league slap a heavy fine on NJ but will also likely nix any deal between Orlando and NJ for Howard in the future.

Just because the NBA is run like La Cosa Nostra and Stern acts like he's Il Capo di Tutti Capo, doesn't mean it's the same as the Russian Mafia that Prokhorov is used to.

Time to kiss the ring and ask for forgiveness, Mikhail.

Only difference between the two ...The La Cosa Nostra uses guns or explosives to kill while the Russian Mafia kills slowly....they use poison! Stern better get a taste tester whenever he eats out!

Bon Appetit!!!!!

In some ways

I think I liked it better before they "settled" the CBA

Not as entertaining but I still don't have clue as to what is going on.

Rumor du jour, Howard requests trade to NJ.

So much for "OMG, they had an illegal meeting!".

If this is true, then Howard isn't going to LA (assuming Orlando and NJ can work something out). In that case, LA fans oughta hope the CP3 deal doesn't go through, since they will be down almost their entire frontcourt and Howard will be off the market.

What do you think, TJ?

I think Orlando could get more for Howard then what they can get from NJ or LA.
I really don't like Brook Lopez game and who knows what will become of two first round draft picks.

LA might have very little left to offer Orlando besides Bynum.
That is not even close to a fair trade.
But, maybe it is the best they can get for D12...???

If NJ doesn't sign Nene and doesn't trade for Howard, there is no way Deron Williams resigns with them.
Many deals are waiting until resolution of the NO/Hou/LA rumored trade.
