Playoff Seeding Update

Thanks to the newly rejuvenated NY Knicks (getting rid of Mike Antoni (no D) = immediate improvement) beating Philly last night, the Celtics are now tied with Philly in the loss column and 1 game behind them in the standings (Philly has won 2 more games than us). Winning tonight in Milwaukee and tomorrow in Philly will leapfrog us from 7th to 4th.

Go Celtics! Now's the time to pour it on!

Winning both will be an extremely tough task. Milwaukee is playing very well having beaten Portland by 29 on the road the other night. And Philly will be pissed from losing to the Knicks. Winning even one will be hard. We'll see.

You're right about this. Milwaukee has upgraded, at least short term, by getting Monta Ellis and Udoh while giving up only Stephen Jackson (Bogut isn't playing, so losing him doesn't hurt them now). They are tougher team now than their record before the trade.

Philly lost to NY, but we got humiliated by Philly just before this road trip. We got a few grudges to pay back too.

Heading into tonight's game against San Antonio, the Celts are 1 game ahead of Philly in the Atlantic (2 games up in the loss column, but they own the tiebreaker, so we have to end up ahead and not tied) thanks for the Heat's victory over them last night.

Orlando losses, due to Howard's back spasms, has dropped them down to 5th. If the playoffs were to start today, we'd be hosting them in the 1st round.

Indiana is 1 1/2 ahead of us for 3rd. We play them later this week. They play Washington tonight.

San Antonio Wednesday. Chicago @ Chicago Thursday. Indiana @ Indiana Saturday.
