Last Celtics Game 7 road win:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/197405120MIL.html

May 12, 1974.

Cowens was da man that night. Jabbar was a valiant but unsuccessful opponent. Big negative for the Bucks: The Big O, Oscar Robertson and his 2 for 13. Vaguely heard of him. Was he ever any good??? Can't remember...
Actually that happened to be Oscar's final game. He was 35 years and 169 days old at the time. We got any players that old on our team??

This was a nice look back at history. However, this Celtic team is worn out. These guys are NOT machines and at their stage in their collective careers cannot flip (not Saunders) a switch to turn the competitive juices on & off. What they've done under the circumstances is admirable. I fear tonight's outcome will be a bitter pill of reality to swallow for the team & its' supporters. Like the late Bob Hope's theme song says, "Thanks for the Memories."

It will be game 2 with a different outcome.

Starring Kevin Garnett as David Cowens and Rajon Rondo as John Havlicek.
