Baby turtles on the beach...

This being the SLOWEST time of summer with almost no basketball news, I'm taking the liberty to post the following which has zero to do with b-ball:

Last night my sister and I were walking on Siesta Key Beach and came across such an amazing scene. Perhaps 50 baby turtles were crawling out of their nest in the sand - which equally amazingly was heart shaped - and were wending their way to the sea. The miracle of birth and of God's plan for the ongoing creation of life unfolded before us.

Another miracle was that someone was there to record the event with his cell phone and upload it to YouTube.

Very cool. It amazes me that so many creatures are born ready to live on their own, yet humans are totally helpless at birth. These little guys hatch, sprint to the ocean, and are off on their own.

Ironically, the worst curse in China is to say, "Your mother is a turtle."
This because a turtle doesn't know who its mother is, and being part of a family is the most important thing in Chinese culture.

I pay tons o'money to go to places to see stuff like this, calling it "an adventure", and you call it "an after dinner stroll on the beach".

Another amazing part of the video is that it was sent to my sister by my ex who lives in Memphis, who was not aware that we were in the video.

Is that an upgrade over "your mother is a praying mantis"? She eats her husband's head, deposits her eggs and leaves. As opposed to human women who eat their husband's head until there's nothing left in them, then eats their bank account.

Great video, Worcester. If this doesn't infuse everyone with a reverence for life, nothing will. The annual turtle crawls are a major deal in Key West. It's ironic that this could be the fastest new hatchlings will ever move on land.

I don't know what's worse, that goat shit on your mustache is something that is even a possibility in their world or that they can distinguish it from cow or sheep shit.

Or is it just that they don't think having cow or sheep shit on their mustache isn't all bad...?
