Announcing the Winner of the First Round of Game-on Contests

The first game-on contest round ended with the Christmas Day game against the Magic.

There have been 24 winners in the 28 games to date. (In four games, there were no winners). The number of wins:

As an administrator, gyso qualifies as a spoiler but not as a winner. Therefore, Bobc is the winner of a free subscription to this forum after his current subscription expires. Congratulations, Bob. I think the extra dog brought you luck. Congratulations to gyso as well...and for doing double-duty keeping track of the scores.

The next round of contests (with another free subscription as prize) will begin with the next game and will end with the All-Star game (which will be included in that round). Bobc will join gyso as a possible spoiler but will not be eligible to win that round.

There will be a third round extending from the All-Star game through season's end. And there is an ongoing contest for guesses throughout the entire season, and any wins that are already earned count toward that one.

Bobc and gyso clearly demonstrate the benefits of being part of many game-on threads and entering many contests. We hope that, as the season progresses, more and more of you will join us on the game-on threads.

The biggest benefit for me to posting in the game on threads is, in a way, it is as if we are all together watching the game at someone's home. And that is cool.

Shiba Inus - Japanese hunting dogs and the name means brushwood dog. Though I think it means crazy and feisty, difficult to train, but wonderful dog.

great point about it being like sitting together watching the game. i gotta see if i can network a laptop into my computer setup here at home so i can track and comment during the game without running up and down stairs !
