Report: Bucks join 76ers, Thunder in opposing lottery reform

The 76ers are trying to build a coalition to block the NBA’s proposed lottery reform.
They’ve got the Thunder’s support, but they can’t get the Magic on board. You’d think a bad team would want to maximize the value of its lottery pick, but it might come down to a big market-small market issue. So, you get Oklahoma City siding with Philadelphia (which is really a big market, but shhh).
How about a team that is both bad now and in a small market?

The Bucks, Thunder and 76ers need five more teams to block the proposal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. That seems unlikely.
But it seemed unlikely the 76ers would get any support, and then the Thunder and Bucks showed up. Momentum is on their side.
Unfortunately, time isn’t. With the vote expected for tomorrow, I’d be shocked if it doesn’t pass.

Isn't it so funny that a team that intentionally jettisons its good players to push down the chances of winning is so against this? I say do it.

Anything that (1) penalizes teams for trying to tank and (2) potentially erases the term "tank" from basketball lexicon gets my vote.
What do the "nay" teams use as rationale? "It's unfair to change the rules after we've worked so hard to shoot craps some day?

OKC benefitted from the current system by drafting Durant, Ibaka, Westbrook, and Harden (formerly). They are unlikely to see those kinds of odds unless Durant leaves (which could happen).
The Bucks and 26ers are perennial bottom feeders wasting the talent of young players. I think they care more about money than winning.
