The athleticism of the guys in the NBA continues to astonish me. It almost seems illegal that so many of these guys have such physical talents and I had/have none.

I live across the street from a town baseball field and basketball court - and right in the middle of summer all I see is a bunch of 10-14 year olds with basketballs walking to the courts - never a kid heading to the ball field.  All with their own ball - doing things that the Great  Bob Cousy never did back in the 50's and 60's. Your right Clyde - they are off the scale talent wise. They play all summer and then have the luxury of playing in well organized school leagues or at the local ymca the rest of the year - a far cry from my 3 plus months of high school ball only - resulting in a skill level inferior to most basketball playing 10-12 year old kids that i see on parade every day. Its no wonder that the modern Nba is so talented.
